When do the sales start and what are the offers?

Calling all retail workers. Everyone gets a little bit of inside info about whats gona be on offer and when! Lets start a thread to spread the word and make sure we all get a bite of the cherry! E.G shopping in Homebase today an assistant told me that their Christmas stuff is going 75% off tomorrow.......

Maybe it would've been more helpful to direct the OP in the right direction instead of just saying this is not the right place.

BTW I think it would make a great idea for a thread, read on HUKD that the matalan christmas deccies are going 1/2 price18/12 The gifts/toys are going half price on the 21st dec. And the big sale has been Brought forward to the 24th dec.

Wilkinsons will have their half price sale starting on 24th Dec (xmas eve)

Xmas Toiletries, All lights, decorations, trees, all toys will be half their original price. Will be some bargains to be had. I know this as i work for them :j:j

Maybe best on the discount board for those that are suggesting it be posted elsewhere/tohers asking for suggestions as to where to post.

When I was working in retail, we were never allowed to know. It was told to us at the last minute- like the last week to Xmas. The manager was not allowed to tell us. But generally Boxing day is a given.

From my memory (from last year)
H&M started something around the 21st, as did Gap.
River Island had acessories and footware on sale Xmas eve and the rest boxing day.
Topshop, Zara, Selfridges, Boots, Warehouse, BodyShop and the vast majority of others started on Boxing day (not even online until Boxing day for many also!)
M&S seems to start the 27th, think John Lewis could be the same but can't remember.

Am no longer working in retail BTW before anyone takes me for my word! These were all to my memory as of last year and I could be mistaken!

The last few years and im sure it was last year as well marks and spencers have started online on xmas day i know this as ive always got up early 6am ish to shop online !!Not sure about this year though .sorry

M&S etc won't be able to do 6am on Sunday 27th, so I wondered if the start day would change? Also is M&S online from Xmas eve?

DP will be doing there sale as of monday, well at least most of the jewellrey will be!!! BURTON will joining them on the sale day.

Not sure about the rest of the arcadia group but they usually do everything at the same time.
