There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

  • I'm sorry to read this news. Sorry for the staff at this time of year and sorry for the demise of cheap flights out of Edinburgh and Glasgow having flown with them twice to Orlando.

600 employees and the bulk of the good flights out of Scotland. We nearly booked a second holiday with them at the weekend (but ran out of time). Damn shame - they were back in profit last year. We've flown with them several times a year for at least the past 5 years.

That is a shame! More people unemployed.

I've only flown with them twice (out and return), and I was a bit shocked at the state of the plane: chipped paint on the outside and passengers, including myself, were really cold at feet level due to the heating not working, but you still don't want to see it go under.

That suprises me. Their fleet was one of the newest around. We flew with them several times a year for 6 years and always found the planes to be in good order.

  • Always had good service from Globespan, great, cheap golfing holidays to Portugal. Shame the government spends all that money on the greedy bankers!!!!!!!! And sod all saving jobs - is that economics now (banks with no money as the customers dont have jobs).

Must've been unlucky when we flew. We went to Portugal in January, so maybe they use older planes on that route?

Was going to go to Orlando next May with them, luckily had not already booked.
  • Globespan had a mixed reputation for utterly dire customer service on one hand esp early doors, my relatives once were delayed over 24hrs with little assistance which for a scheduled flight is bad. The flights out of Liverpool to New York were also disastrous apparently. On the other hand others stated they were fine.

Sad to see folk out of work and stuck at Christmas time.
