Rediculous charges for a letter!
Options
I apologise if this is in the wrong thread but strictly speaking it is a 'loan'.
Hi all, long story short, we bought a new 3 piece suite on credit from a well known high street sofa retailer. Current economic climate lead to us falling slightly behind with payments, the finance was passed onto another company, as they do, and we now have a payment agreement in place. Thing is, we have just recieved a statement from the original finance company and to our complete shock we see that we have been charged varying amounts for a 'letter', amounts range from £25 to £30, and on one occasion we were charged £100 for a letter!!!! We called them to ask for some justification of the £100 letter, and they said it was when they passed the debt onto the other company and the amount will not be refunded. Please can anyone point me in the right direction as to how we can dispute this, or any advice on where we stand, that is, if we have a leg to stand on at all
Thanks guys!

You stand on you breached the contract and incurred the correct charges.0

if you could get enough money together or from somewhere else, offer them a full and final settlement amout minus the charges0
