 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Lynz just got my box of it out of the cupboard and it has instructions on left hand side. You cook for 10 mins in boiling water if you want firm rice and longer if you wish it softer.
Box says USA Parboiled Rice and has Premium Long Grain - there are 8 packs. Just bought it last week after reading about it on here so haven't actually tried it.0 -
Nah its not the same one
But you are right the instructions are on the box, just had another look
Sorry for being lazy! must try harder lol:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I always cook rice the way I was taught by a Chinese friend which ensures it doesn't burn, and it saves on fuel too. Put rice into pan, pour boiling water on top so there's at least three times the depth of water as there is of rice. Bring back to boil. Cover pan and switch off heat. Rice should be ready about 10 mins later.0

oooh tawny thanks for that - I'm forever burning rice and have ruined several pans in the process!! will try this and see if it works (not saying it doesn't, just that I'm a master of burning rice!!!)0

So was I!
(meant to be short, pithy comment, but apparently not long enough for site, so have to lengthen it!)0 -
Lynz, is it the one in the yellow box? If so, there should be instructions on the back in several different languages including English
However, OTTOMH I think it's 5 parts boiling water to the amount of rice you want to cook, add the rice, stir once and cook for 12 mins. It's EXCELLENT rice.

We never got rice right, until I started using our steamer.
I put the rice in a thin plastic tub, cover with water to just cover the rice and steam away
It comes out perfect!
Before this discovery we used to get rice from the takeaway whenever we made curry/chlli etc which was a huge waste of money!Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0
