any views on these shops much appreciated ...
they are often much cheaper than other places you can buy perfume (though only the bigger shops sell certain brands eg Chanel)

is there a catch ?
the perfumes are the same aren't they ?
I know perfumes "go off" - its not that they sell old perfumes just within their "sell by date" is it ?

I think it can vary hugely, depending on the brand you wish to buy.

I was looking at the 50ml Viktor and Rolf 'Flowerbomb' perfume on Monday. I went in both Boots and The Perfume Shop and The Perfume Shop were only 60p cheaper.

I had also looked for the 50ml Coco Chanel, I can't remember the exact difference, but it Boots were selling it for £55 and The Perfume Shop for something random like £53.94.

I managed to get the Coco Chanel for £49.50 when Debenhams recently had their 10% off cosmetics.

I would certainly shop around when it comes to buying perfume.
