My tax code is wrong

Hi Folks
Hope you can help.
My current tax code is 647L, but my work colleagues are all 653L
From discussions, it's apparant that the £60 difference is because they are claiming as they launder their own workwear, ie a uniform (with company logo's).
I had no idea you could claim for this.
How easy is it to claim this benefit?
And will this be back-dated? (I've worked here 5 years?)
Thanks in advance:beer:

Its not a benefit, its an expense allowance. You simply write to your tax office teling them what your job is and they will include the allowanc ein your code. If you have worked there in previous years, you also ask for the allowance for those years (up to 6 yrs), but ask for a payable order, not a code change.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
