  • I have a very low budget this year so we chose to not buy for each other.
BUT he has been so good to me i had to do something so i made up a hamper for him.
I made it into a football hamper and went to cheap shops for the hamper bits :)
Inside his hamper is..cereal bowl, mug, scarf, towel, flannel, money box, boxing gloves for his car with fc name/logo on them, boxers, socks and deodrant. I also contacted his favourite footie club and they sent me a signed club photo and a signed photo of his fav player x

Cheers hadnt noticed that thread before. Off for a read now.

Football hamper sounds great and thats really good that his club sent you the signed picture. Might be a bit late to get that but might send off a wee email just incase. He has had a season ticket there for many many years so they might be nice and send one.

Have got my hubby bits through out the year and most of the time he has been with me and does not have a clue.

So far he has a couple of new pairs of jeans - as doesnt really bother getting much new for himself

A tee shirt from Play.com of one of his fav rock bands

aftershave - he gets a new one each year from me and always something different as he only ever had joop before

A homemedics back massager to help with his back - he is disabled and medication doesnt seem to be giving him any relief

    Star trek dvd

A triple box set of nature dvds reduced to a fiver

    a choc orange

loads of no.7 and body shop toilitries from glitches

I know it sounds a lot but in honesty it has not cost anything near as much as i would usually spend.
His response to me is how am i going to get you anything as you are the one that sees the glitches so nothing will be a suprise lol

We don't normally bother much for each other........most things we want we get as and when though last year OH got me a blanket to go over my knees when I'm watching tele (result of my moaning about draughts etc.)
This year after him being so ill I told him I didn't want anything.........I'm just thankful he's here but I think he's got me something..........not sure.
Anyway, years ago he had a tiny cross on a chain that somehow got lost -think the chain broke- so I think I just might see if I can get him something like that.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Last year my bf and I spent £300 on each other. This year we have a budget of £50 each as we want to book a holiday next year so would rather save for that. So far he has nothing, was thinking of a ps3 game, dvd, t-shirt? Problem is anything he likes he will buy so doesn't leave anything for me to get!

    I've bought my husband:

    Some blue suede shoes (really)
    A travel razor
Lots of sweeties, as that is all that he said he wanted
A personalised luggage strap (for his stocking)
    A reindeer thong (!)
    Toblerone
Some nice bits from ASOS with the £5 off voucher the other day: Scarf, necklace, sunglasses, shirt
Pyjamas (for the Xmas eve hamper)

I have bought, as suprises, two ariel photos one of our house and one of our village, a odyssey golf putter (he mentioned them then said I wouldn't be able to afford one) and a bottle of blue sapphire gin. These he knows nothing about because when we were out last week I bought him a jacket and a pair of shoes so he thinks that's it. I may get him some sweets as well (he's a chocoholic).
