  • I was wanting to do this, unfortunately their flight+hotel packages from lastminute.com don't fly from Scotland and is about £150 for the flight only >.>

  • It's a really good offer.. flights will no doubt be cheaper if you book nearer the time anyway.

We went to Sonis last year and really enjoyed it, but not sure if we'll be doing a festy again this year.. partly depends on the line-up. It probably won't top last year's one..

Were they not all on the same lineup at Donington 1987:p? I'm sure I remember it that way. (but it was a long time ago and I was a young thing then :D)

    It's only a game

  • I'd recommend this festival to anyone (well those who like metal anyway). I had an amazing time last year, and this year looks to be shaping up to be another good year. Also appears they're stretching out for an additional day to compete with Download. This is an amazing offer. If I hadn't just bought a new TV, I'd consider for sure!

Hey just want to comment on this point about flights as a experienced travel agent, flights WILL get more expensive nearer to the date of departure due to adding of extra charges such as late booking fees etc etc, and due to the festival taking place the flights will be priced higher due to demand. Best to book early to avoid disappointment!!

The UK Sonisphere is over THREE days this year. Alice Cooper is headlining the Friday, Rammstein the Saturday and Iron Maiden the Sunday. Other acts confirmed for Sonisphere UK are Slayer, Anthrax, Iggy and the Stooges, The Cult, and Motley Crue.

It will be the only UK date next year for Iron Maiden and Motley Crue.

It is still rumoured that Metallica may yet be Iron Maiden's 'special guests' on the Sunday, to mark the handover of headlining the Europe wide festival from Metallica (doing the early dates) to Maiden doing the later dates.
