    Hi
Is the 188a for a minimum spend? Just used it and gt charged the delivery anyway - even though the code said it had been accepted on the website. Customer services were very unhelpful. So cancelled my order.

That code didn't work for me either, but the book (4 copies) I'm buying is £3 cheaper than anywhere else so ok.
  • Any Current Free Delivery Codes Please? (feb 2009)
  • I tried 187FREE and 188A, the first didn't work and the second was accepted but postage charged on an order of £20, so rang customer services who said 188A doesn't exist and that 187FREE was the current code for orders under £25. So, tried again, same result and I e-mailed customer services this time saying this code had been given to me by them but it didn't work. They replied to say 187FREE expired on 31 Jan and that 188A is for over £25. I have now suggested to them that their staff may need to be better informed!

I just placed an order for a set of reading books for my son and wan't able to use any of the above codes but got offered a lower postage rate at checkout of £1.75 as I was only ordering one item (even though I'm getting 8 books). Thought this may help someone who like me isn't spending over £25 to qualify for free p&p.

thanks rainmac - think i may have been ordering the same books as you ' Kipper etc' and this little tip has just halved the cost of postage as I cannot get any free codes to work either

    Hi,

Does anyone have the February free delivery code for The Bookpeople please?

I want to order a couple of things but they only total £11, and don't really want to pay the delivery charge :o

    TIA
