Congratulations, you are in a broadband enabled area.
Click here to compare packages available to you.
However, the quality or length of your phone line prohibits you from receiving ADSL of any speed.

The following services are available in your location:

    BT Wholesale ADSL
    BT Wholesale ADSL Max
    TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
Please select the options on the left for more information about broadband availability at your location.

No, you can move the whole operation to Talktalk and pay them for both the line rental and broadband. However, if you wish to move back to BT, or to another supplier at a later date, you may have to pay a reconnection charge. (May be waived if you sign an 18 month contract)

Bear in mind that Plusnet is owned by BT.
  • I have my broadband, line rental and call package through Sky and I have never had any problems.

But don't you need a BT line in the first place??

In reality, yes, but technically, no. If it's LLU, Talktalk, Sky etc will take over the line, but continue to pay BT as they still own it. However, it involves a physical switch in the exchange from BT's equipment to the LLU company's equipment. Hence why there might be a charge to reconnect to BT's equipment.

If you want to go with O2 broadband, you need a BT landline, therefore, if your line is with talktalk, you can't get O2 broadband, as it isn't a BT line.

Correct! Also, Talktalk told me they couldn't match the Sky prices.

Im on TALKTALK LLU (Ballymoney exchange)

I get much faster speeds then BT could ever give either direct or through Virgin, back then I was getting speeds of less then 500 kbps. now I get on average 1700kbps - with a line only capable of 2mbs thats some good going

However - seem to get a lot of phone outages. A lot compared with BT with whom there was never a problem. But as I rarely use the land line its not a big deal for me

I find TALKTALK great value for money
