Alliance & leicester loan transferred to abbey
Has anyone else had problems since their loan was transferred from alliance and leicester to abbey?
I am having an absolute nightmare with them.
I was out of work for 9 months and got into arrears, set up an arrangement which was for £30 less than my usual payment which was agreed till march 2010.
Now the account has gone to Abbey they are refusing to honour this arrangement and want me to pay the arrears of over £600 which I cannot do and they are threatening to pass my loan account to an external debt collectors.
I've just spent over half an hour on the phone with them and I am losing the plot.
Can they do this?
The thing is by March my circumstances should have improved slightly and I can probably go back to paying the full payment.

this has happened to me too, just had a call today (sunday), agreement was till march 2010,
hope to hear from other members on how to deal with this nightmare0
