You also get a free annual upgrade via Barclays too. I've just upgraded 3 PC's for the 2nd year running :j

This is a complete internet security too, not just anti-virus like some of the freebie programmes out there ;)

if you already have 'something' (I seem to have many), AV systems on your computer, then Kaspersky will not work ? will interfere ? (dont want any problems by adding it...

Only have 1 Anti-Virus program on your system other they will conflict and may cause more harm than good, plus you will be using up more resourses on your PC.

Kaspersky Internet Security is a complete package and you don't *need* any other programme. Delete everything else before installing.

As ncd says, if you already have more than one programme installed then you're probably causing major conflicts and problems between them.

  • I am using Kaspersky for the past more than 3 years. A word of advice with using Kaspersky 2010... it is known to have issues. I upgraded from KIS 2009 to KIS 2010 but I faced resource hogging issues and my computer speed dropped drastically. Kaspersky lab's forum is full of people complaining against KIS 2010 being too intrusive (like NORTON was couple of years back). I have since downgraded back to KIS 2009.

I would suggest go for 2009 and when the issues with KIS 2010 gets sorted do a free upgrade.

I bought the 2010 cd version but did not use the cd. I only used the enclosed licence key to renew my existing v9. This ensured I kept v2009.

there certainly were some issues when 2010 was released (I'm one of the many on the support foums that had resource issues after upgrading from 2009 to 2010) - eventually I completely removed 2010 and then re-installed it and my PC is now running fine - I would expect that those people installing from scratch (provided they have completely removed any 'other' AV software) shouldn't experience such problems....
