I have about 4inches of new hair growth..i have dyed my hair since i was 15, and im now 21, ive decided to finally stop because its getting too thin, however my last dye was a dark brown colour and my regrowth is light brown and its really starting to show

i was just wondering how much it costs to have your dyed colour stripped out and is it worth it?

Is there any DIY ones you can buy or just hairdresser salons do it?

I got mine does as a model for £30 at a Toni and Guy salon. (maybe ask at salons if they need models?) they told me that the actual cost in salons is up wards of £150!! But maybe depends where you go.

Beware though, my hair is now very knackered and am praying it grows out soon! (by my calculations I have about 2 years wait! Obviously GHDs- even though its maybe once every 6 weeks! and hair dryers and using hot water don't help!) but at least its a paler colour now and the roots don't look as odd (paler roots can look v.odd)

I'd say don't do DIY- I'd never say do any DIY if you want to go paler, either going blonde or like your wanting to, stripping the previous dye. It can so easily go wrong and its all well and good saying "Oh I'll just fix it at a hairdressers if it goes wrong" but you can actually cause so much hair damage that it can be beyond help an you may end up with a pretty severe cut to get rid of the damage.
