I want frozen parsnips

I've become hooked on roasted parsnips. When I discovered them (they are not usually cooked this way in the bit of galaxy where I come from) I loved them so much that tried to make them part of my usual diet. I've tried to cook them myself from scratch, but it takes ages to prepare them, so I'd rather buy them frozen so that I only have to pop them in the oven.
The problem is, I used to get them from Iceland at quite a good price, but they've stopped selling them at my local Iceland and only have Aunt Bessie's, which are practically swimming in oil apart from far more expensive. I cannot find frozen parsnips anywhere! How silly is this?

They sell Roasting Parsnips at Morrisons supermarket, if you have one in your part of the galaxy. I love em to!

Thanks espresso. I don't know of a Morrisons around though.

Sainsbury do them too, very nice. But why "ages to prepare them" run over them with a potato peeler - top and tail - and chop them into bits about the size of roasting potatoes. Stick them in a pan of oil you've already got hot in the oven about 1/8 th of an inch or half a centimetre if you're metric. they don't take as long as potatoes to cook and are so much nicer fresh........... especially cooked in the fat you kept from the last time you cooked a duck............... heaven.
Honestly you have to do most of that with the frozen jobs.M.E..... MORE than you know0 -
Thank you all. The big shops around are Tesco, Sainsbury's and Sommerfield, but in the first two they don't have frozen parsnips (it's a Tesco Metro and a somewhat smallish Sainsbury's). I must check the third. I like buying in the bigger ones, but it takes me ages to go to them by bus.
Well, I'm off to the technical part of the forum to see why my buttons don't work.
Thanks again.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -
