On saturday, I got £16.45 off my shop in Asda. The total bill was £20.05 so I only had to hand over £3.60!!
I used a combination of the World Book vouchers (£1 each), the Nice and Easy half-price 'root touch up' vouchers (£2.15 each) and some of the Asda magazine £2 off some Whiskey (I think) vouchers......
I ALWAYS find I get the best voucher-money-off deal in Asda, rather than at Tescos........
I hope they don't stop taking them...

Were these the quick read vouchers? If so, how many did you get away with (and i'm guessing you didn't buy books)? :rotfl:0 -
I was told today in Asda that I could not use a coupon for a magazine without buying it. I have been told this before, but I have used 3 identical coupons in the last few weeks and they have taken them without comment. I even used 2 cut from the Metro News last week for £1 & £1.20 these type of coupons have been refused in the past. The only other onwe I gave this morning was for 50p of some alcoholic drink and that was also refused told they cannot accept alcohol ones unless you purchase the product. alll in all not a very good shopping trip0

i used £4 of vouchers at self scan yesterday - bill was about £30 before vouchers & sa said can only use 10% of total so i said ok. then he spoke to friend very loudly right behind me about how people that use vouchers do his head in & take the mickey etc. you'd have thought it came out of his own pocket! is only the 2nd time i have used them so was a bit peed off! didn't want to say anything tho in case he keeps a look out for me in future!Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0

Having a disasterous week so far with coupons - all coupons have been rejected at Tesco and Asda. Have even had to throw some away as now past used by date
Just have to grin and bear it, and hope this sudden tightening of the rules relaxes soon. Coupons have even been refused by staff who accepted the same type last week....so maybe my locals are having a crack-down.
Re sa being rude about coupons being used ( pdoff).....I think some people (esp MSErs) would alter the store they shop at if say Tesco refused coupons, but Asda accepted them - so surely letting a few customers get a 10% discount - the majority of which the store will reclaim from the manufacturer, is a good marketing ploy!
Also I think that the number of people who do use coupons are a tiny minority compared to the number of customers a store has, and the number of coupons issued. Until a few months ago, before being re-educated by this site, I would never even dream of offering a coupon for a product I hadn't bought. I think there are millions of shoppers with the same mentality, so I do not think if is costing the stores a fortune.:cool:0 -
Morning ! With regard to Asda not taking vouchers, I work for asda and all stores should only take vouchers for 10% of total bill . You dont have to buy the product on the voucher as long as asda sell the product. If you have a problem with rudeness from any colleague please insist on speaking to the manager at once. At our store in Frome somerset we ALL treat EVERY customer with utmost respect ALWAYS.0
