Hi all
Please could somebody give me a bit of advice / experience?
I have recently checked my credit report and have two defaults, both fully satisfied / paid off.
Do I have any chance at all of being able to get any credit at a reasonable rate, or will I be laughed out of the door? I work full time and do not have any other outstanding debt besides a small loan (£4,800), and a mortgage, which I have never missed payments on.
I know this is like asking how long is a piece of string and I don't expect you to look into your crystal balls, but just hoping that somebody can reassure me that I may be able to get credit if both defaults are fully paid. One of the defaults was for £220 and paid off in full 2 months after the default was given.
Is there anyway of having defaults removed before the 6 years are up, if the default was satisfied very quickly?
Sorry about all the questions and thanks in advance.

It is going to be expensive and difficult as you have already worked out. You could try using the smart loan search on moneysupermarket.com for lenders who might help you. The top loans won't be available to you until after 6 years when the defaults drop off your record. A default is a default, regardless of size unfortunately.
Good luck
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
