Gift ideas for Dad, help!

Im normally really good with presents but Im completely stuck :(

I found out yesterday that my mum, 2 brothers, sister in law, nan and neices have all chipped in to buy my dad a new camera, case and memory cards. Basically everything he could want.

Im annoyed because everytime I asked if Dad had mentioned something they said no, and they also didnt know what to get him. Plus no one thought to ask if we wanted to chip in with him.

Anyways, Im completely stuck :(

Dad loves his photography and already has an SLR, and theyve bought him a new point and shoot camera. He has all the asseccories so don't know what else I could get him.

He doesnt print his photos off and they dont put photos on display. Bought him a digital photo frame last year but he doesnt really use it :(

Help guys!!

How about a day/weekend photography course? Not MSE but I was looking for OH & there are a lot around (although I ended up getting OH something else!)

Nothing to do with photography but this set of DVDs are really good - bought my Dad them for Fathers day and he loved them only £6.98.

How about framing one of his photos for him - or the canvas art thing?
  • I bought this book for OH, it is absolutely fantastic and OH always goes back to it even though he has read it from cover to cover!! he has also sat for hours playing with settings on his camera and taking pointless pictures just to see how it all works!!

I paid £16 for the one I got for him!

Alternatively, you say he has all the accesories? does he have various filters for his camera? I also got some of these for OH and again they went down well, give the pictures different edges etc!

How about a subscription to a photography magazine?
    Slightly bitter
  • I like the trip idea alot, I'm sure that would mean alot to him!

Photography books are a good idea, there are a few to choose from here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/bestsellers/books/512740/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_b_3_4_last (You could buy the book and put a home-printed voucher in the front saying you're giving him a trip to x to take photos together!).

Or maybe some accessories for his camera (bag, filters etc)
Freebies: Nov - £5 Habitat voucher; Dec - £5 Amazon voucher, mini bottle of Glavya
