I might have had some money from the csa

I have just checked my bank account and a payment for £10 has gone in labeled dwp

could this be from the csa? the money would be from a deduction from benefits. If it is they have payed it in to the wrong bank account, I gave them that bank account originally and then changed it when I set up a e-savings account which is linked to the other account but has a different account number.

I would hate it if it had been paid to me in error and was actually somebody's Christmas bonus or something. The only benefits I receive are child benefit (which goes in to the savings account), and tax credits which are labeled as tax credits, so Im not expecting to receive anything from the dwp for myself.

Thanks

I asked my chum how her payments come through as years ago I got 1 £5 payment (woop woop - didn't know whether to spend it or frame it!!!) and it had CSAxxxxxx (x being my case number)

She is on CSA2 and her payments show as a bank credit from the DWP so it could be from them...have you phoned and asked?

If you get a payment from the csa via your bank account it would be csa and your reference number beside it. (Something I haven't seen for a long time!)
    *SIGH*
    :D
  • My payments show up in my account as DWP, no reference number or indication what department its come from.

I would say this is from the CSA.

I phoned and asked the csa, and they said it was from them.

Im not holding my breath for anymore! I changed my bank account details again, if I do get anymore and it goes in to my bank account chances are I wont notice at least that way I can save it up for a couple of months and buy her some shoes or whatever.

But the woman I talked to wasn't able to tell me what would happen if he signs off, and continues to ignore their letters and phone calls, because hes always been self employed. Anyone know?
