in Cutting tax
Hi, I have been self employed for 3 years now and previously hadn't thought about claiming for internet/line rental on my tax return-is this something that could be claimed for in part? I don't use it exclusivly for the business but as my business is a online shop it's obviously essential for the business!
Thanks for any help

You cannot claim for things, but you can include costs in your accouts which wil reduce your tax bill.
You need to include a reasonable proportion of these costs in your accounts - if challenged thrugh an enquiry you just need to be ready to justify the proportion.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0 -
Theres no problem in claiming internet costs. For specific guidance see http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/MANUALS/bimmanual/BIM47820.htm0
