Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of someone who did pottery. I am basically looking to order some individual pieces I was hoping to get made locally.

I'm not sure exactly where you are, but Ballydougan Pottery is a few miles out of Lurgan, towards Gilford. They do some beautiful pieces and have a gift shop with a great display.

You could try the one in Crawfordsburn, just opposite the inn. Ive a few pieces from there bought at craft fairs and they are lovely. They have a website but I cant access it here - its pinewood pottery - this is their email:

Hi there, I think you might mean custom made? If so, if you're in or around Belfast, perhaps you should put an advert up in the Belfast Art College on York Street. I go there (however I'm a graphic design student) and I'm always looking for opportunities like this- I'm sure the ceramics students would be the same. You should see some of the work they do, it's beautiful. Don't be afraid to ask for a few samples or photographs of their work.0

Hi,

Mrs Clarkie, I'd say you'll have some luck with the students. Let me know if you need any help locating them- I'll see what I can help with. Though I'd imagine if you called the site VP at the students union, she'd be happy to put up a wee notice for you. In fact, the hand-ins for art college students was this week mostly so this might be a good time- They'll have some free hours on their hands!0
