    There's a refurbished LG DRT389H on tier1online.com for £69 delivered if you're interested.

    These are £127.97 at Tesco.

It's classed as a grade 2 product which basically means open boxed returns/cancelled orders - these comes "as new" bar the manufacturer's seal is broken.

You can read more about their grading policy here.
  • Thanks, I did look at tier 1 but not sure whether going for a graded product of this nature is worth it. Any advice anyone?

DVD recorders are not that great you may be better off with a PVR or if you have a PS3 just get a cheap Sony Play TV unit.

Do you just want to record from the TV?

If so probably better buying a hard disk recorder. Saves buying blank
dvd's which just take up storage space.

Have a look at amazon (or elsewhere) for a PVR hard drive Humax - about £125 and the easiest to use.
  • Make sure you search all the major shopbots before deciding where to purchase any of these DVD recorders or PVR's. PVR is the way to go apparently though DVD recorders may be slightly cheaper.
