Frozen cream sticks - do they still exist?

Frozen cream sticks used to be commonly available in supermarkets some time ago, and very useful to have in the freezer.

Can't seem to find them anywhere now - unless anyone knows otherwise..........

I used to buy these in Iceland every
Christmas, tried to get them last Christmas
went in two different Icelands and was
told that they do not do them any more.
Shame because I liked to buy these in
the run up to christmas and use them
    as needed.
I did ask if anyone knew if there was
any kind of cream you could freeze on
another thread,it seems you can whip up
cream and put it in pots and freeze it

  • There was another thread recently with everyone saying which cream could be frozen and which could not. Lots of advise on how to freeze it. You might want to do a search.
I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 2010
  • I would love to know this I used these and found them really useful

  • If you put "cream freeze" into Google it shows a MS thread answering this :D

    So it does:

What it doesn't do, though, is answer the original question, which was where to find the ready frozen sticks - they were really useful but don't now seem to exist for some reason.

if oyu want to find them then you might be better off calling the customer servicer numbers for each of the supermarkets and ask them which store close to you stock them

Thanks, but none of the main supermarkets sell them at all. I was hoping that someone on here might have spotted them in some other outlet.
  • I tried searching Google and found this post on another forum from 3 years ago about freezing double cream yourself.

"Easy to make a batch & freeze yourself so it is always there when you need it.Whip double cream to soft peak stage place tablespoons on a tray lined with clingfilm freeze for 2-4 hours, remove from tray and store in bags or boxes in freezer.

I do this with excess cream nearing its use by date if i dont think i will use it all."
  • Hey,,i don't have any idea about this..could any one tell me??
