Housing costs

What do the CSA deem as housing costs

Example
£600 pm mortgage £138 weekly
180 pm council tax £34 weekly (divided by 10 months)

This is a CSA1 calculation

Is this split between the protected and non protected calculation

Any experts out there

  • They should allow all the mortgage payment as housing costs.

With the council tax, with mine, they took the yearly bill & divided it by 12 & that figure was included in the personal allowance part of the calculation.

housing costs are your annual monthly payments divided by 52 to get your weekly payments. They include interest and capital. For you you won't get council tax because it is only included in the protected income part of the calculation so you don't get any protected income.

No as you are paying the full rate now with no protected income.

So, in the light of the above, surely there is no vaild reason for CSA_Help to give his wife's details at all then?

    CSA_Help.....don't do it!

No you would not get an increase in your assessment because you are paying the full amount at the moment. It cannot increase - it could go down but if you don't have any children in your household, then it is unlikely to do that either.
