HFC Problem - Advice needed
]Hi, my first post but hopefully someone with more knowledge on these things can help.
Brief breakdown - took a loan with HFC in 2000 for £6000, no payments missed, etc. until September this year - contacted them and asked for a settlement figure and was told it would be just over £4,400. Requested details on full ammounts that I had paid, rates, etc. as by my reckoning I had made approx.£18000 in repayments. Nothing came of it, After numerous attempts to get this info and being repeatedly told they would be sent, I sent them both a Subject Access and CCA (sent seperately recorded delivery). Received response to the Subject Access Request stating they would not send details unless I sent a photocopy of my passport or driving license. I then received a letter re: the CCA with a blank loan application form - . The loan agreement is totally blank with no details and the letter states that there are exclusions which allow them to respond to the request in this way and not provide an actual copy of the original agreement - the agreement they sent me is generic & totally blank - no signatures, dates, details of rates etc. Sorry unable to post scans of documents as I'm new to the forums.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated

Sorry this isnt constructive, but a 9 year loan of £6,000 - and you've paid over £18,000 with £4,400 left to end the agreement? What kinda APR is that?!0

Hi WildWayz, that's the problem, this payment was a serious oversight as I believed it was for something else, now finding it almost impossible to get details from HFC - I thought that they had to give details when CCA letter went through but they have just sent a completely blank loan application form as a reply.

Hi there and welcome.
I don't normally post so much on this actual thread, so these knowledgable lot on here will have the best advice on this one for you.;)
However, if your having problems in regards of the SAR, (I take it you have enclose the £10 payment for this)?
Well the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) may also be able to advise you on this, if you paid the £10 by cheque and this have been debited out of your account then they should oblige by 40 calendar days maximum.
With one of mine I sent them a copy of a council tax utitlity bill, and if I remember correctly a papercopy of the driving licence, although I'm not sure if this would be the best thing to send now.
Contact the ICO when you have the chance to in the week, explain to them your issues here and see what they suggest.

Good luck.
Please let us know how you get on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
