Update on me sorting my debts !

well well ! .... ive rung the DSS this morning and because they dont deal with direct debits they are sending me a payment card so that i can make payments on it .... to reduce the debt!

ive got a Direct debit form to drop into the bank for my old housing arrears at £15.00 a month from me ....

ive got a payment book from south west water and they want £30.00 a month (i got them to drop the original payment ) but still not sure i can afford this! ..

and ive also rung Adams (creation) to arrange to pay off the £98.00 and low and behold the lady told me its been payed in full! i cant remember paying it ! i really cant she told me that i was £3.80 in credit so would pay that back into my account!! OMG i still cant think when i payed it off! ... so i asked for a letter with the statement of account on it which she offered willingly! ..

woohooo im a happy girlie today !

although can i ask does anyone know if i could get south west water to reduce their repayments a little again? .. or would i be pushing my luck? .. also would there have been a better way other than payment cards or direct debits?

thanks for your help so far! xx xx xx
Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!

i got them to reduce my payments but ive moved out of the old address so dont know if thats why ? ..

you could try ringing them and just saying look i really cant afford it! and id rather come to an aggreement i can afford than not pay anything ... some of the people on the phone can be helpful ...

    good luck xx
