Need some help ,please
I intend to borrow £10,000 but with my salary Halifax which is my bank will only do it over 7 yrs. However if i add the wife's then I can have it for 3 years.I decided going to Nationwide where they say the APR is not dependent on your circumstances. However the wife will not pass the credit check as she has no current account. Can I present both our payslips in order to borrow the money in my name? The wife's salary comes into my account.Any help on what to do?

Are you saying that Halifax will lend you £10000 but only over 7 years when you want to borrow it over 3?
If so I would write to their Head Office and point out the way their advisers are shamefully profiteering through you.0 -
Well, what they said was with my salary of £1000 amonth they were saying they will let me have 10000 for 7 years. But with the wife's 1000 in addition per month they will do it over 5 years typical APR 6.9.I have decided to go to Nationwide because they have 6.4 APR but the problem is Nationwide wants three bankstatements and three payslips.I can provide both, but the wife can only provide payslips but not bank statements.Do i take the loan in both our names or in my name only while presenting her slips as well.Besides she will not pass credit check. She does have a bank account though nothing much goes through it.You can have God without religion!0

That is not what you posted in the first posting. If either of you have credit history problems I very much doubt that you will get the headline rate of 6.4% or even 6.9%.
Getting a rate because it is advertised is not a done deal until they have credit scored your application.0
