Final Demand Letter HSBC..Help Needed!!

I have just got a very nasty letter of HSBC regarding a Final payment of the sum, and i have 18 days to respond.
I keep paying through my main bank account to hsbc every month, but my hsbc account has been dormant for 4 years and charges have built up. its not what ive actually spent its a low sum of £500-(mostly charges)
I have a good credit rating and doing well in my main bank etc have no credit cards, but HSBC are ruining me with all of this.
Is there anything i can do, they also state on the letter they will take me to court.
