Property with Pension

Please stay with me a I am a complete novice when it come to pensions.

If I have the opportunity to purchase a property overseas for £140,000 and have to pay only 50% now and the other 50% on completion in 2 years time, if I wish to purchase can I do this via my pension fund? My in laws purchased a property 2 months ago and have increased the purchase price by 15% already.

So basically pay £70,000 now - in 2 years time pay the other 50% if I wish to keep the property and let it out, etc or sell if straight away if I have made enough profit??? Can I subsidise this through my pension???

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

only commercial property can be purchased through a pension. And then any money made goes into the pension.

Buy to lets dont count as commercial property.

I was planning on paying any profits back into the fund - but thanks for your quick response anyway.

French leaseback property (residential flats) is apparently allowed in Sipps as it is counted as commercial.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)

That loophole is expected to be closed anyday now and anyone who has done it will be penalised.
