    Minor point for many, major point for me....
    You need to set the remote code and the socket to work together, a simple operation which is well described in the instructions. However following a power cut or prolonged disconnection this link will need to be reset, a minor inconvenience if the items are in easy reach and you don't get many power cuts.
    Not something I can tolerate though, so these are going back, I need the ones which remember their settings if power is lost, (the ones which usually have a selectable dial for the remote code).

    Fair observation but as you say only a minor issue for most and for £5 they are still a bargain.
    New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.
  • Thanks for this - got two sets from the Dewsbury store - one for us and one for the mother in law.
    Got a set about 5 years ago for roughly the same price in the Wilkinsons Xmas sale - but the garage is a tip, and we can't find them. Easier paying £5 than having the stress of trying to find the others!
