You can ask for SF deductions to be reduced if you have additional commitments providing it doesn't make the term exceed 104 weeks.
That deduction sounds very high as the max should be £12.86 p/w at std over 25 JSA/IS/ESA rates of £64.30 a week (20% of benefit received).
You need to write to your local Social Fund office with a list of your current financial commitments for a decision maker to consider a reduction in payments.Who's going to fly your plane? / When you need to make your getaway....0 -

I am in the process of filing for bankcruptcy and I have been told that the social fund loan should be included in the petition. I have complained as I was paying £12.86 a week as you have said but then they put it up to £14.98 a week without even consulting me or without me signing any paperwork giving them the authority to do so,the thing that frustrates me the most is that it was a joint claim and yet my ex partner has not paid back a single penny and I have been helf responsible for the full amount. I have currently been paying the loan back since last January and in that time I have also had charges added to the electic and gas meters due to the unpaid bills my ex left so all in all it leaves me with about £40 a week spendable income. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.0
