Slightly OT... but is nobody else furious with the obvious spelling mistake here in The Telegraph?

Arrived at my local store 15 minutes after it opened and about 25 people had got there before me as there were vouchers all over the counter. Apparently people were queuing up before opening time.

After much deliberation I got the black one. Not bad for £1.80. :T £20, not so much. ;)

  • I got the green scarf and I'm really chuffed with it. Agree with others though that the £20 value claim is a little dubious!

  • I also picked up my scarf today from their branch in Southampton at 9:50am and there was already a big pile of coupons. Anyway i agree with OGB3, dont think i would have paid £20 for the scarf, but for £1.80 its a bargain....

    Furious???

Maybe you need to get out more if you get furious over a typo like that.

Nearest one to me is 40odd miles away, so they'll all be gone by the time I get there.

Hey-ho, shan't waste my money on the paper today (even though we usually buy it at weekends) - that'll teach them to ignore their non-Cardiff Welsh customers

same here - none anywhere even remotely close to me !
  • We have one here but thought better of trying to wrestle the crowds on a saturday, glad for all those who braved the shops and sorry to those who missed out.

  • Got a black one - its lovely. There was a big queue for the 10am opening, but what a great atmosphere - lots of people swapping money off vouchers & chatting about bargains. Like a live action MSE!
  • I went to the shop at Canary Wharf. It's quite quiet at weekends. I got there at about a quarter to 11 and there were quite a lot left - and other customers in the shop. Massive queue for Santa's Grotto though!
