Vitamins/supplements? A waste of money or not?

I think I could probably take or leave my multivitamin. The peppermint oil however is a non-negotiable - I can occasionally get away with a day off it but unless I want to spend large parts of my day in pain then it's become a pretty regular thing by default."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

I like to take a multivit/mineral (one a day), because although I eat fairly well, and love vegies and fruit, there are some days when I don't eat as much as I feel that I should. I do wonder if supplements do vary in quality, and how much 'good' some will actually do, though. I read a bit about grasses and their nutrient value recently, so have decided to ditch the 'one a day' and try a natural grass instead. Only been taking it for about a week, so can't say yet, whether it's a good choice for me.
I've been watching quite a few videos on one of the youtube channels over the last few months (all about nutrition from naturopaths, clinical nutritionist etc) and here's just one of those (there are lots more) that I thought I'd share here, as it's a naturopath and a clinical nutritionist giving their own views about whether we need supplements.
