hi all
yet another q from lil me
we buy those frozen mini corn cobs and have tried to BBQ them, with varying results. Personally I think OH is a bit of a perfectionist here
but he thinks that the niblets go too hard. I tend to preboil them for about 4 mins and then wack on the BBQ
What can we do to avoid this???

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Just personally I think that BBQ corn always goes hard and dry and is never very appetising
I always microwave the mini cobs and leave them in a lidded dish with plenty of butter and salt. They stay hot for ages while the rest of the food is being served.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -

They do look nice but they don't taste nice.
If you want the burnt bits then cook them through and give them a minute on the bbq to colour them, then stick them back in the lidded dish so that they don't dry out.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
Coblets is an excellent word:D I think we should definitely use it more often.0

We were on holiday recently at a villa and did loads of fresh corn on the cobs on the BBQ with different results.
When we came home I got some frozen ones, defrosted them and just stuck them on the BBQ grill. They were delicious and far nicer than the fresh ones. They really don't take long to cook and I am sure they are healthier as they are frozen from being picked.0
