Hi Lynz,
Here's a fairly easy bbq marinade that you can add towards the end of the cooking time. Because it contains sugar (in the honey) if you put it on at the beginning of the cooking time, it'll burn, so brush it on in the last 15 minutes or so.
Combine:
1tbsp tomato ketchup
2tsp HP sauce
1tsp soy sauce
1tsp honey
pinch of smoked paprika
dash of tabasco 'chipotle' sauce (this makes it smoky)
Adjust the ingredients to taste if you like your barbecue sauce hotter or milder. If you don't have chipotle sauce, regular chili sauce will do.
Hope this helps!0 -
I do honey and garlic chicken which is just garlic granules mixed with honey and baked in the oven, could be finished off on the barbecue very easily.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
Wow thanks for both.
Ive never heard of garlic granules before what are they? Sound pretty handy- and to think I had the full she-bang :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

It's just a lumpier version of garlic powder really
Garlic powder could be used instead or Onion or celery salt to ring in the changes.
