Argh I've got the money spending urge!

Firstly I need some clothes I tend to only buy clothes this time of year wear them almost contantly so they are pretty scruffy within a year. Can't actually find any clothes I like tho, so not much danger od spending on those yet. All I really need is another pair of my staple combats really.
I need a vaccum cleaner as the one I bought from woolworths 2 years ago sucks like an asthmatic at the top of a mountain, so just doesn't do much to the beige carpet covered in black dog hair. Its falls apart eveytime I use it, and gives me a bad back because its a compact not an upright. Can't find anything decent in freeads which I have done in the past but then I can never find bags that fit, bags cost a fortune and I have to doctor them to fit!
Found a suitable bagless one with HEPA filter (boyf asthmatic and allergic to many things) on boots electrical which sounds ideal its £65, minus 12 points to the pound, minus £6.5% quidco.
I'm going to bring in more than enough to cover it from ebay very soon (items already at £60 with time left. But can I justify spending it on these things. I don't want to fall off the wagon.
Any thoughts?

I'd say wait until you've got the Ebay money in your account, then get this vacuum. You need one, and it's not overpriced when you consider things like Dysons. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Good plan, main item finishes today, currently at £50 and sure to go up.
Heres the vaccum, are they any good? http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1059951 0 -
Have you tried freecycle? You may be able to get one there. There are also shops that do reconditioned ones...I would just hunt like a terrier for the best deal & then go with it! Dire having to spend money on a vacum cleaner though isnt it!! What about car boot sale? oops crossed....looks good value to me esp as you get handheld one too ..great for the car!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! there was a bag less hoover not upright though in tescos for about 20 quid if that helps any? Youll get CC points, and 5% back from Quidco too.
I know what you mean, I need a hoover, but im just not buying one, as Im quite frankly too tight now
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Nothing on freecycle since I joined and leaving in a predominatly middle class area I think they may view themsleves too good for carboots, there dont seem to be any near me! Shame as always been a car boot fan.
Do you have a link to the £20 one lyn? I can't find it, there is a £35 bagless tho. http://www.tesco.com/electrical/browse.aspx?N=1650 -
I was just looking, but I tend to find that the cheaper electircals in tesco are in stores not online. Its purple, and comes in a purple box if that helps you
you might want to pop into your local &* see what there is
It does look like the MR one, but I know for a fat its round the 20 quid mark as ive ummed and ahhed over it for a few weeks
Sorry couldnt be more help. But its a tescos own/ "no make" one. if i remeber rightly

Avoid Tesco's cheap hoovers. I bought one a few years ago and it did not pick up animal hairs. I then got a Dyson for £8 at a boot sale, eventually geting a Dyson animal for £25 at a boot sale earlier this year. Furniture sale good - Dyson usually around £10.0

Oh my goodness, a dyson for how much??? I was concidering saving up to buy one new. I wish I could go to the car boot sales you go to. I must make sure I go to the ones up here more often!!!

Oh damn, I thought thought my ebay item was going to do well, had 55 watchers and 500 visits, but it only sold for £51 when I paid £100 for it and the same thing just sold on ebay for £90 for someone else.
