I never actually knew how all this CSA/CB worked. Can someone explain? If a PWC gets CB do they also get CSA payments on top of the CB? Or is the CB amount Deducted from the CSA amount and what is left is given to the PWC? Also I have been told i might have overpaid! Will i ever see this now that my case is in the process closing? And if i do get it back is it the PWC who pays or is it from the CSA pockets?

Or is the CB amount Deducted from the CSA amount and what is left is given to the PWC? No. CB and CS payments are completely seperate. Child Support is only affected or reduced by Income Support, so if the PWC is in receipt of Income Support, they may have their Income Support reduced and receive full Child Support or only receive £20 a week Child Support and receive all their Income Support.
Also I have been told i might have overpaid! Will i ever see this now that my case is in the process closing? And if i do get it back is it the PWC who pays or is it from the CSA pockets? I'm not sure. Hopefully someone will be along to answer.

Hope that's of some help.

So it sounds like the PWC would still get the total of the income support and Child support regardless of what i pay, is that right? without any extra from the csa?0

That doesn't makes sense to metombtabard wrote: »So it sounds like the PWC would still get the total of the income support and Child support regardless of what i pay, is that right? without any extra from the csa?
If the PWC is on Income support she gets to keep the first £20 of child support before it affects her Income support after that her Income support will be deducted £1 for £1.*SIGH*

No, that's not what I wrote.
She would still get the total CHILD BENEFIT and Child Support regardless, if she wasn't on Income Support.
If she was on INCOME SUPPORT, then child benefit is not affected in anyway, but she can only keep up to £20 a week of the child support before it then reduces her Income Support ... as DX2 explained.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61
