Power balance wristband

I have just heard about these and thought it may be a good pressie for my nephew, HOWEVER, they are quite expensive for something that may be totally rubbish. Apparently they balance you energy/chi/latte whatever which sounds like a load of gumph to me BUT if they are 'all the rage' amongst sportsmen I thought he should give it a go.
Anyone heard of these?

I was a sceptic about these wristbands, but wow they really work! It has improved my balance and general energy level. I don't seem to get the aches and pains I used to get. Could be coincidence, but I won't be without it now. Got mine from Happywallet, liked the name!
