Impact of inheritance on student loan

Recently I inherited a reasonable amount of money from my Grandmother's estate. I currently have a student loan but my income is less than the threshold where I have to start paying back and the loan is currently deferred. Does the inheritance count as income that would trigger me having to pay my student loan or is it a "windfall" that I can invest separately?
Thanks

No. it is not an income. It is clearly a windfall which you can invest without any problems. Your grandmother's estate will have paid the IHT.0
