DS1 would like guitar lessons for Christmas. Can anyone recommend a good tutor who will come to the house or a group lesson somewhere near to the south side please? He is 15 and so doesn't want to be in a childs beginner group .
Any help appreciated x

in east renfrewshire there are arrangements through the high schools for music lessons for teens. there are the ones at williamwood high school on a saturday and then 'private' groups at woodfarm hight (also saturday)
whatever your school area there should be a music coordinator - ask your local council for their name and get in touch with them.
that is the cheapest way
otherwise you can ask them about private tutors or go to your local music store (eg southside music on cathcart road) and ask them.0 -
Thank you wolfehouse. I will get him to ask school coordinator and I'll take a look in Southside music too :-):AIt matters not how long a stars shines ,what is remembered is the brightness of it's light.

LGMA ( Lanarkshire Guitar & Mandolin Association) Hold guitar lessons in the Arts Centre in East Kilbride. So does Village Music - but think they work out at about £12 pw ( ouch) the lgma ones are about half that price.
