  • dont think they can to be honest, And i know the driver certainly cant you'd have to call the store and ask. Id be a bit more patient though, thinking of the time of year and how busy they are!

I think waiting through your 2 hour slot and them still not having turned up after another 25 minutes is patient enough!
Call Tesco customer services explain what happened and they *should* refund you the delivery charge.
  • I have had problems with delivery on two occassions. I waited for my delivery and it didn't turn up at all. I then phoned the store and they were not able to deliver so I had to go and collect the shopping myself.

This happened twice. On both occassions I got to keep the shopping and got a full refund on the delivery charge AND the cost of the shopping.

Speak to the Tesco online groceries manager instore, be polite and see where this gets you.

IF the driving is running late (or early) they should phone you to advise. I would phone customer service and you should get your delivery charge back.
  • By 1.30 pm I phoned ( 2.5 hours late) and they told me the store said my card had fialed so they cancelled the order - no notificationa at all - she said we can dleiver it tomorrow?? They was def money in the bank -only £40? What a waste of a morning.

You would think they would at least ring you and see if you had another card to pay with.

When I last had my card fail due to money not going into my account that should have done that is exactly what tesco did with me
