Tried to book but just gave myself a headache trying to work out the cheapest combination of good shows and cheap hotels! I'll try again in the morning, might be better value to go the week after, then I also don't have to put up with London January Sales shoppers!

Right, gonna go make tea - I'm going to try out the caribbean spices I got at the German Market on a chicken leg.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

The funniest thing happened when I was at TigTag's house earlier. Sterling Green called, presumably to try and flog Tig an IVA or something (considering she's no longer in any debt, it was rather pointless).

So Tig put Natasha on the phone - Natasha said 'hello' very politely, and then proceeded to tell them all about the episode of Night Garden that was on TV. Most of it was just toddler babble, but there were some very clear bits about Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy. Then she, again very politely, said 'bye bye' and hung up on them. :rotfl:

I really did very nearly LTPCO!

  • I've been plouging through paperwork and fielding the calls from various people about the accident. Sigh.

I've done the car hire agreement stuff and I've had a huge pile of paperwork from some solicitors to fill in. I wasn't going to release the car until I got an offer (on advice from OH  ) but the insurance people won't make an offer until the car is in the salvage companies garage and the hire car people say I have to release the car because otherwise the other parties insurance would question why I had the hire car. I've been assured they won't scrap it until after the offer is agreed, although the hire car people have said if I turn down the first offer I can only have the hire car for 7 more days and I have to accept an interim payment to keep the car and then press for a better offer.

    Phew.

And there was me thinking I was the one who was wronged - I'm the one having to do all the work to probably get enough to buy a carpy old banger

BB, it's always the way with car accidents, even when you're not at fault you're made to feel like you should be extra grateful for all the 'hard work' they are doing on your behalf, and woe betide you if you don't comply with every teeny tiny instruction they bark at you.

    How are the injuries?

  • still very stiff :( Back is slowly getting worse and I felt some 'electric shock' sensations in the disc when I was at my desk this morning _pale_ Not sleeping too well. If it is going to get really bad, it will be over the next few days, there's always some weird time lag of about a week with my back if I'm expecting it to really flare up.

    Evening all............busy busy day.......
Sally-the bag arrived back safely, thanks very much!Well, finished my Xmas shopping-all bar DH stuff which is taking a while to sort out. Got home, did lunch, then we decided to go for Xmas tree (nice Nordmann 8ft)and blasted fan belt snapped on Land Rover on the way back. So it's completely dead at the side of the main road, blocking the traffic...DH fiddles furiously under bonnet, but not much to be done about it really.A lovely man comes out from his house and asks if he can help. Well, he doesn't have a Landy fan belt, but he does have a spare battery, which we bolt in and make a dash for home-sans headlights! So limped home in the twilight, stick his spare battery on charge for 15mins and then return it to him with a bottle of Xmas spirit as a thank you. Nice man.
Tree now decorated, and looking all twinkly n nice...now theres an idea for a new avvie.......
    Debt-free...and staying that way...
