Missing kit

Hi All
I recently left work after being on sick leave for a while due to what management called "personality clashes". I've asked for my personal possessions to be returned to me and although they claim that they've done a thorough investigation (which I doubt) some of the kit hasn't been found. They have however sent me a similar (but less substiantial kit) as they thought it was mine, there is a £40 difference in cost and they're using my kit or they've lost / it's been stolen from work. My colleague lost keys to my office and another room (total costs in both offices totalled £100,000) and was not disciplined whilst I was being disciplined for moving mouse mats or when a colleague of mine left a box of equipment on my desk whilst I was on sick leave!!!
I have informed them that the kit they've sent to me is not mine and if they did an audit that they'd realise it is work's kit - so would I be deemed to have stolen that, although they've sent it to me and I've said when my kit is returned to me I will leave this item at another office for the same firm?
This kit is now out of production and therefore I can not replace it (and it would be useful when I'm working again in my trade); I presume that they've either replaced the kit they've sent to me or that they're using my kit and claim it's not there. I was initially told that they wouldn't bother returning my items and have refused to send certain items as someone is still under investigation (wasn't told if that was me or my bully whom I complained about).
How do I stand on this?
TIA
