For someone obviously so clever that's a classic schoolboy error, that's an 8" screen and therefore, at those pixel dimensions, is lower res and therefore less sharp than the Sony :rotfl:

A landscape 800 x 600 format is also far less pleasent to look at in landscape which is what most peoples photos are, although to be fair it's OK in portrait for portraits, yes you do have to crop them but you would if you had the photos printed and put them in a normal frame.

Anyway, at the end of the day it's a personal preference thing so stop making an !!!! of yourself by preaching, particularly when you're getting your facts wrong. The two frames I was considering were the Sony and the AG Neovo and I preferred the look of the Sony.

Oh yes, and I am right with 'most' as you've only quoted one example from the dozens of frames out there and the rest ARE mostly the lower res 7" frames at that price point.

Ermm.... I pointed out three frames at different price points, all of them at a lower price point compared to the Sony, none of them are low resolution screens.

Of course I'm happy for you to point out all of the low resolution £50 photo frames that you can find, but only an idiot would pay £50 for such a thing. :)

Hope that am on staying on topic.
Not everyone understands about screen resolution and aspect ratios, so hopefully people will avoid the cheap and nasty 480 x 234 pixel screen resolution models touted by certain high street stores as 'half price'....

So whilst certain characters here may like to have a slanging match, I can more than handle it and hopefully keep it on topic with relevant information.

This is a money saving website so I'm happy to point out the cheaper alternatives out there. In the end it's a matter of choice. But without the info, you don't have the choice.

Check this one out at jessops.

    http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/Digital%20Photo%20Frames/products/Jessops/Digital%20LCD%208%20Hi-Resolution%202GB%20Frame-76621/Show.html

I think this blows all the other ones out of the water when it comes to value. You can get a further 15% off with code frames15, quidco cashback and free delivery.
The only negative is that it does not have a shuffle feature but that does not matter when you have thousands of pics and can't remember them all anyway.

The M&S Philips one has better reviews (although £66 down from £139). One of the tech bods at M&S said the Sony ones were being left on the shelves because this one was a better deal. Depends on how much you want to spend I suppose, but we went for the Philips one. x

M&S appear to have made us beleive were getting a fasle bargain here found it for £70 normal price elsewhere
