I wanna electric drill

Hi
Curtain pole in bedroom fell down this morning! Its pulled brackets out of the wall so I need to redrill holes. I need a cheap electric drill that will drill through very solid wall. OH says it should not be cordless as these are less powerful. But I have no idea if hes right. Drill should be cheapish, powerful and idiot proof! Any help/recommendations appreciated.

With a good quality masonry bit, it will certainly do the job that you want it for (drilling into a wall). You might get away with no drilling at all if you can use the old holes with larger fixing plugs and screws.
