Propagators and Seed trays half price

Knowing how growing mad we are in the OS section thought I would let everyone know that my local Wilko's currently has all its seed trays and propagators half price start stocking up for next year!!

Even at full price Wilko's tend to be better value than places like B&Qand really good quality

Their plants are better too, they tend to sell quite quickly so do not get as stressed as the ones they sell in B & Q.

When you buy plants always look at the bottom of the pot, if the roots have formed around the outside of the bottom of the pot, be wary, they have been in the pots too long and will suffer when you plant them out. I have a friend who would play Hamlet in a garden centre if she found plants like that, she would always say the had not been displayed properly, new stock having been sold before the old stock had been cleared. She would also complain if she found plants that had not been watered properly......often the case at B & Q.

The wilko ones are really good i have used mine for many years.

Wilko's are also selling seeds at a half price too. BBD was 2009 so stocked up ready for next year

Just to let everyone know Wilkinsons now reducing seeds to 75% off, just sticking the labels on in my store this afternoon but all scanning with the money off
