Nectar surprise

Not a fan of loyalty schemes tbh with the low points to the pound. However since buying my first car and always being asked for a nectar card at BP, I thought this could be worth something combined with the odd visit to Brewers Fayre and Sainsburys.

Was just about to order a card and an additional card for my gf .... when I thought I had one from my uni days when the only store closeby was sainsburys. It was when Nectar was first introduced I think and not many companies had signed up to it.

Anyway found the card quite quickly buried under a lot of stuff and went to the website to check my points. No password on account so had to phone up ....

Was surprised to find 20,500 points waiting for me aka £102.50 sainsburys vouchers. Was offered a 30 minute flying lesson on the website, will probably pass!

Just thought I would post my surprise!

Hoorah for Nectar and what a great find!

Yes, I'm a Nectar fan too - just got a load of points offers through and used some today - 150 bonus for just shopping in Sainsburys (no min spend, so weekly shop was £7.64) and 250 bonus for BP (no min spend so topped up with £15).

I like the 500 points = £5 voucher for Adams, useful for DS, plus they always have deals on. I'm mainly boring though and stash them up for Xmas food shop.

Register for e-bookers for 200 free points, 100 free points for registering on TNS. Have a nose on the freebies board, that's where I found these ones!

Brewers Fayre is always good for me - parents do family lunch there twice a year and pay the bill = @ £200 a time and I get the points!

    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

Everyone in my house shops in sainsburys because its the closest shop but only 3 of us have a nectar card, so i collect everyones receipts and get the points added. Saved £17.50 off my shopping a few weeks ago, it was brilliant!!
    Well done xxx
