Place to eat out that does a good midweek deal

OH and i are going on a date next week as i have come into some money and we haven't been out in what feels like forever!

I want to go somewhere that has a good midweek deal, as i am still mean!

Anywhere co down or belfast would be great!

Benedicts in Shaftesbury Square, Belfast used to do a "Beat the Clock" offer - I think it was from 5.30pm and you paid the amount depending on what time you ordered.

I don't know if they still do this but you could give them a ring to check.

I haven't been there for a while but the food was always excellent and a great variety - although some items are excluded from the promotion.

Bastille - new French place on the Lisburn Road - does 2 course for £12 and 3 for £15 Sun-Thurs (IIRC). Top notch food!

Also give the ivanhoe inn a ring....in carryduff, I love going there for my lunch as its a full dinner you get.....I dont/cant eat a tea in the evening after it!!

Pretty sure they do. Wandered past the other day and they still have the promotional posters for it in the window

just remember though that you get what u pay for and the food will most likely not be the nicest, tony romas is nice but a little more expensive though i wouldn't say it was to dear,

Hill Street Brasserie in the centre of Belfast recently did a fantastic mid-week offer of £17.50 for two courses. The food is fantastic. We took my dad and he was really impressed too.

The last time I went was a few months ago so it would be worth giving them a call to check if they are still doing it (028 9058 6868).

In Co Down, the Boathouse is incredible. £25 for four courses. Not the cheapest around Bangor, but absolutely the best for a bit of a blow out.

I would recommend beat the clock in bendicts. Its great and the food is gorg. I normally go for the salmon or roast chicken
