Ta Dune, I have spotted a typo, but so far nothing else. I'm sure someone else will be able to help you further, especially on pepipoo, but they may want to see pics of the place, signage etc.0

Easy link for everyone. Not sure about the PCN but hope someone will have some advice soon.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Interesting thread! I got issued with a penalty notice for "incorrect parking" in a local retail park "managed" by Euro Car Parks. I ignored it. I got an "Enforcement" notice today. Guess I'll ignore that as well!;)
On a slightly different note I was out last night for a very rare night out with my girlfriend for a meal. I parked in a P&D street where the charges stop at 6pm. Of course all the bays were occupied so I just lined up with a bunch of other cars on a double yellow thinking "there wont be any parking attendants around at this time of night" - it was after 8 pm. I have to say that the street is not a residential one and the placement of the double yellow is quite odd but you guessed it, when I got back to the car there was a ticket attached! A fair cop - my own fault etc etc. However when I checked the ticket it was for a different car - different make/reg/colour etc. presumably the attendant was knackered and got the tickets muddled up
Question is, is this ticket now enforceable? As I don't have the correct ticket I cant actually pay it as the reference number will be wrong. Naturally I am not going to phone the council and say "sorry I parked on a double yellow but got the wrong ticket, would you be so kind as to send me the correct one so I can pay it"

Uh, think it would have been better to start your own thread for this, but if it is the wrong registration number, it's not your ticket, it's some other unlucky sod's and they're going to get a Notice to Owner in a month and know nothing about it. However, the warden could have easily issued a different car with your PCN, so you could be in the same boat. If that happens, I'm sure you'd be able to get it cancelled because the warden clearly made a big mistake by muddling up the tickets..but you'll have to wait and see. Let us know if you get a Notice to Owner in a month!0

Keep that PCN safe, do not return it to the council.0

My daughter has contacted the BPA "British Parking Association' with regards to the issuance of two parking tickets received by National Parking Control ('NPC') and Sheffield City Council to clarify which one she should pay and was told by BPA that according to NPC her car was parked in a way that warranted receiving both tickets. From what I can gather she was parked both on the highway and private land and NPC apparently have supporting evidence in the way of photos which they will be sending to BPA . Therefore, the representative at BPA stated that she is required to pay both parking tickets! BPA also said that she should try and offer a proportion of the charge to NPC and the Council dependant on how much of her car was on the private land/highway!

She really shouldn't have contacted them at all. The BPA are as bad as the companies they represent. Has she admitted to being the driver at all? I'm not sure if they can use a phone conversation as evidence in court. What they're doing sounds utterly out of order and most likely illegal.0

I agree Biscuitdunker and have told her that in no uncertain terms, she thought that she was helping me to fight the case! Looks like now she's screwed it up - big time!0
