Need a new job

Hi.
Just want a bit of general advice really.
I thoroughly enjoy my job, I have been doing it seven and a half years. The contract is changing, so the commision (roughly half my wage) is going, and we are getting basic plus a percentage bonus. It basically means a wage cut of around 25%. Additionally, GF and me are getting our first house soon.
I need to move to something else. I am 37, got a degree in management, done loads of training, and sort of bi-lingual.
Thing is, all the jobs I have applied for are a lot less than I am on at the minute. Anyone got advice on making a career change at this stage. I have thought about financial advisor / mortgage broker. I think I need a CeMAP, but don't know the best way about getting it. Online courses start at £1000. Are they worth it?
What sort of advice do jobcentres give?
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
Thanks in advance

"Don't critisise what people look like, how they speak, where they are from, and what they are called. They cannot help it.
Do critisise what they say, and what they do, especially if what they say is different to what they do. They can help that"
