I need to get some Czech Koruna for this weekend. I've ordered it from the First Trust Bank but then I got thinking that I'd probably be able to get a better rate elsewhere. I can always cancel the order if I can get it somewhere else.
Can anyone tell me where would be a good place to try given that I need to pick it up on Saturday at the latest? It seems that a number of the banks don't keep Czech Koruna in stock ... strange given that you can fly direct from Belfast and it's a popular place to go, huh!

you could try www.fairfx.com but might have left it too late, you;ll get a better rate in first trust than u would in post office / m&s0

Why do you need it from this country.
You can get it once you are there. They have an exchange at the airport, though it is more expensive. I would just change a small amount for the buss etc.. and then change more once you are away from the airport.
There is lots of places - booths to change it over there.0 -
Or why not just get it from an ATM, where you'll get the best rate of the lot (and won't be charged if you have a Nationwide debit card).0

never use airport exchange the rates are the worst0 -
I used the ATM at the airport when I was there, there are two just to the left of the exit. Check what ur back charges for atm abroad, some charge a fixed fee per withdrawal + a percentage so one large withdrawn is much better that 3 or 4 smaller ones. Plan on getting a nationwide card for next time as these are fee free inside Europe I think.0

Thanks. I'll stick with the bank.
I had a problem with my cards when trying to get money out in Barcelona a few years back and I'm paranoid about not being able to get cash. It was frightening when we were left with just enough cash for a cup of coffee not knowing if the card would eventually work.
I've got a Nationwide credit card so if I fancy treating myself I can always use that!!!Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
needs to be the nationwide flex account, i would imagine fees on a credit card would be more expensive0

I had a look at Travelex but you can only collect from City Airport and not Aldergrove0
